V3 Design & ConsultantsNICU – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Design
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is designed to deliver the highest standard of specialized care for critically ill and premature newborns. Every design decision balances clinical function with a calm, protective environment for infants and their families.
Clinical & Infection-Control Design:
Zoned layout with clear separation between Level II and Level III care areas. Single-family rooms with individual climate and light control to reduce infant stress. Dedicated isolation rooms with positive and negative pressure capability for infection control. Hand-hygiene stations at every entry point and bedside.
Family-Centered Care:
Private bonding spaces, a family lounge, lactation rooms, and overnight accommodation support parent involvement in the care process. Acoustic treatment and dimmable, circadian-friendly lighting minimize sensory disturbance to neurologically vulnerable infants.
