Balamitra School – Eco-Friendly Education Campus
The Balamitra School is built using Porotherm bricks — an advanced eco-friendly building material that provides superior thermal insulation, reduced construction weight, and excellent sustainability credentials. The use of Porotherm technology significantly reduces the building’s carbon footprint while creating naturally cooler interiors suited to Chennai’s tropical climate.
Every space in the school is designed with children in mind. Classrooms feature abundant natural light and cross ventilation, with window heights and furniture proportioned for young learners. Outdoor play areas are integrated throughout the campus, with safe, shaded zones for physical activity. The corridors, staircases, and common areas are designed with child safety as the top priority — rounded edges, non-slip surfaces, and clear sightlines for supervision.
